Production Area: Montepulciano
Soil: pliocenic origin, layers of sand and clay, slope 15%
Wine training: Straight-line spurred unilateral 3571 vines per hectare. Age of vineyard, 9 years. Vineyard Orientation: North-East/South-West 
Production of grapes per hectare: 60 quintals. Grapes: Sangiovese 95%, 5% Mammolo 
Microclimate: Favourable conditions with good day-night temperature ranges during the final stages of maturation. Absence of fog and humidity, ventilated position. 
Vinification and Ageing: vinified in small stainless steel vats with manual up and down mixings. Fermentation temperature 28-30 ° C, with a maceration of 12-15 days, hat float. Malolactic fermentation spontaneously done. 
Physical characteristics: Colour: intense ruby red. The Bouquet has developed on notes of spices, cloves, tobacco dark undergrowth, coffee and then violet and cherry jam. The mouth provides a good balance between all components. Matured in barrels and French oak tonneaux for 24 months, 6 months of aging in bottle prior to release. 
Serving suggestion: Pecorino Toscano seasoned, Tagliatelle and Pici all'Anatra, Salami, sausage, finocchiona, red meat, grilled, braised, Florentine arista, Fegatelli, Fiorentina T-bone steak, Tagliata, Game, Beans. 
Serving temperature: 18-20 ° C. To be decanted in carafe, preferably opened about 2 hours before being served.
